The Moments That Matter: Bringing the Light Back

Bangkok is a city defined by its energy, yet just beyond the skyline lies Bang Krachao, the city's green lung, where fireflies once illuminated the night. As their natural habitat continues to disappear, restoring this fragile ecosystem has become more important than ever.

For Khata Sinhaseni, Cluster General Manager of Cross Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit and Lumen Bangkok Udomsuk Station, this inspired a simple question: What if every hotel stay could help bring back something that's slowly disappearing?

That idea became "Let Fireflies Glow," a community initiative developed in partnership with the Lumpoo Bangkrasob conservation group. Through simple choices such as booking on the hotel website, opting to skip housekeeping, making a small donation, or supporting locally sourced food and products, guests can become part of the effort to restore firefly habitats in Bang Krachao. Every contribution is represented by a sticker on the hotel's Brighter Wall, and every sticker helps fund the planting of a nipa palm tree, creating new shelter for wildlife and supporting the local ecosystem.

For Khata, this project is about more than planting trees. It's about creating meaningful connections between travelers, local communities, and the environment. Together with the hotel team and conservation partners, every stay becomes an opportunity to make a positive impact while encouraging guests to rediscover one of Bangkok's most remarkable natural treasures.

This is A Brighter Way to Stay. Because when small moments and simple choices come together, they create something far greater: a better stay, a stronger community, and a brighter future.
